I was interested in making a set of “useless” tools. By rendering them in silicone, they not only loose their function, but also become floppy and limp. After prototyping many different kind of tools, I really fell in love with the Floppy Hammer. The pink silicone makes the hammer appear a bit fleshy and phallic and its material is akin to sex toys. The hammer makes everyone who holds it laugh and smile and I figured we all need more floppy hammers in our lives. I am producing a small run of 30 and hope to produce more soon!
