Notebooks 1–15

I have kept a notebook consistently since the age of thirteen. Each one includes drawings, plans, directions, phone numbers, inspirations, class notes, and personal writings. This project catalogues references found across 15 of my notebooks from September 2009 until December 2013. During this time, I was an art student at the Cooper Union in New York City.  Each of the entries are chronicled in the order of which they first appear throughout the journals. If a reference is repeated on a later page or notebook, it is indicated at the bottom of the each record. This book is a portrait of a city, of an art student, of myself. Functioning as both as a record and tool, this archive binds together artist, artworks, historical figures, friends, places, events, movements, and objects into a single volume.
